Where do you source your wood?

I mainly use local woods that are sustainably harvested right here on PEI. For some projects that need woods like cherry or walnut, they are brought in but are sourced from managed plantations....I also love using reclaimed wood from unwanted antiques, old homes and barns. Many people who have planks up in an old barn or special wood they have cut or their grandpa did, will contact me, they love that it will be used for something special and beautiful.

It is a great bonus for the woodlot owners here to have added value to their wood before leaving PEI. That is what makes these pieces even more attractive, they help keep our rural life on this wonderful Island alive and thriving.

What inspires you

Living in beautiful rural PEI, I am inspired daily by the forests, little wild animals and birds, the sea and mother nature herself. My daily walks, through the woods to the small river behind our property with Labradors Jack & Hazel, cannot help but give life a sense of fun, reminding a person what makes life rich.

I also have a big warm farmhouse kitchen and love to cook and garden, hence my kitchen wares are inspired by the needs I have just hanging out there with loved ones preparing great local and natural food. So everything is `tested`you might say.

My pieces are made one at a time, with great care and attention to detail and finish. Some fun and whimsy in the folk art pieces keep things light.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept the major credit cards Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover as well as direct PayPal account payments.

Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?

No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. However, if you already have a PayPal account, you may use it as your payment method.

How secure is this store?

All payments are processed via PayPal, one of the most trusted payment gateways in the world. PayPal uses the highest level of encryption and data security to ensure your details are protected. Paypal securely shares your order and delivery details with us, but does not share any of your sensitive payment information.

Please note that delivery of orders paid via PayPal eCheck will take an additional 4 to 9 business days to allow for the eCheck transfer period.

When will my order ship and by what method?

All orders with the occasional exception will ship within 7 business days. If your package is a gift and you need it shipped quickly please contact me and will will get working on it right away.
I use recycled and-or eco friendly packaging materials and boxes. Each item is carefully packaged to arrive as beautiful as it looked here. If your purchase is a gift,I am happy to wrap and put a nice tag with your note on it. Please leave a note about this in the message to seller upon checkout.

Arrival times times vary by destination....Shipping costs are calculated based upon the number and type of products in your cart. To view shipping costs, add your desired products to your cart, proceed to the cart page, select your country and click "Update Your Cart Total".

All domestic bound orders are shipped via Canada Post Expedited. Service, this includes tracking and insurance, delivery is 5-8 business days after being dropped at the PO.

All US and International bound orders valued at less than $100.00 are shipped small packet which includes insurance but no tracking. Arrival can be expected to be 10-15 business days after ship.

All US bound orders with a total value over 100.00 are shipped Can. Post US Expedited. This includes both tracking and insurance. Delivery can be expected 5-8 business days after leaving the Post Office.

International orders will be shipped using the most cost effective means for you, insurance will be included. You may contact me for any item and I will find out the shipping costs to your destination country.

What is your exchange / return policy?

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me. I am skilled at what I do and will stand behind it, I feel my pieces will last a lifetime. If an item does not live up to your expectations or is defective or damaged on arrival it will be exchanged for a new product at no additional charge. Refund / exchange is not totally guaranteed and is subject to my review of the returned product but I want you to love what you have purchased and will do everything I can to make you happy that you have bought `handmade`.

Small Details

May I place a custom order?

Sure, I would be happy to make something special just for you. Contact me and we can design something together. I will work to make it happen. Perhaps you just want another wood species or a different size, that is the beauty of small studios, easy to do.
